Imagine some things having a race. In particular those things are these two objects
displayed here; one object is a postcard, or the image on the postcard, and the other
object I call (for the sake of introductory convenience) a rock.
The postcard bears an illustration of a man with a bright yellow jacket on, there are
two men in front of the man, recoiling from him, there is also a woman who is stood
behind the man in the yellow jacket, she seems to be sniggering.
The man with the yellow jacket is speaking, he says: “IT’S NOT THAT
BRIGHT!”
The other object is a rock, and (to elaborate this time) is a rock made up of many
other rocks or pebbles. It is quite heavy, if you pick it up you will feel that. It could be
used as a weight, to weigh something down, to keep that thing from blowing away.
What I want to do is to set these things off on a race and I don’t want to have a
favorite or to anticipate who would win the race from the beginning.
