Paul Elliman is a London-based artist, designer and writer. He is visiting critic at Yale University School of Art, New Haven (USA) and is thesis supervisor at the Werkplaats Typographie in Arnhem (NL). Via his interest in language and its relationship to technology his research has addressed the instrumentalisation of the voice as a kind of typography. He has exhibited widely in venues such as Tate Modern in London, the New Museum in New York, Kunsthalle Basel, APAP in Anyang, Korea and is a regular contributer to the magazine Dot Dot Dot. His book Recollected Work: Mevis & Van Deursen was published by Artimo in 2005.
