Nathaniel Mellors is an artist who uses language (particularly his own scripts) as a primary material within his film-video, sculpture, theatrical performance and installation work. He studied at the Ruskin School, Oxford University (1996-99), The Royal College of Art (1999-2001) and the Rijksakademie, Amsterdam (2007-2009). He lives and works in Amsterdam and London. Recent exhibitions include Contour 09, Mechelen; Giantbum, Stedelijk Museum Bureau Amsterdam; Nathaniel Mellors, Lombard-Freid Projects; Altermodern, Tate Triennial; The Time Surgeon, South London Gallery; Manifesto Marathon, Serpentine Gallery; Art Now, Tate Britain; Deep Screen, Stedelijk Museum CS; Biennale de Lyon 2007.
