I see myself as an observer, reflecting on social and human narratives, I am usually attracted to the edges of these narratives, where they border with absurdity or the imaginary. My sculptures are composed from every day objects that I transform, take apart, or recompose, there for giving it new meaning and function. I realize that by using familiar objects it is never possible to completely strip them of their original meaning and connotations, so I try to leave room for the past as well as the present. I see my self as a collector of images of modern society; re-arranging my assortment of imagery to a newfound, abstract form. An element in my work is the combination of the DIY culture and the over complicated life we are living, using all sorts of machines and gadgets to perform more and more tasks for us.
