‘Dipool Analogie’ (in engl. Dipole Analogy)
As a result of my thesis, in which I research the possible influences of quantum mechanics on fine art, I became extremely fascinated with the working-methods of physicists. I found that, with the existence of quantum physics the degree of description transformed from tangible to non-tangible. So non-tangible that physicists obtained the freedom to postulate new theories, only to verify them much later; sometimes it would take even more than 20 years to create experiments which where able to test the theory.
Intrigued by this bizarre new method of ‘creating truth’ I started to postulate my own theory; the so called ‘Dipole Analogy’. In my previous works I created a number of installations which can be seen as visual studies in order to verify/identify the Dipole Analogy. The Dipole Analogy only exists in schematic form of which every installation is a resemblance. Every experiment, performance or installation has its own contributions in verifying the theory.
