He abandoned his enrollment in kindergarten, because hated to be obligated to sleep during the best time of the day.

If you decide to read this text, please also feel free to decide not to. But if you do so, then please begin to see the moments of self-alienation, self-exploitation; self-offence and self-defence, self-affirmation and self-denial; invo-/ glorifi-/ vilifi- cation. And do not forget. Everything has to happen ‘now’. All communication, now; all exposition, now; all trade, now! All action is a packaged corn. All truth is a huge lie. Life today: a bloated Mickey Mouse.

It is not that hard to grasp the engagement between the increase in the quantity and decrease in the quality of communication, as Deleuze once indicated and Mika Hannula repeated. This is the very fact of how we are being confronted by so many elements in our daily lives, how we become unaware of our own desires, decisions and demands. Given that nothing is given, our knowledge is incarnated, encroached and mutilated by givens; in a furtive but somehow ostensible manner. Like simultaneously being pushed to be a tradition-keeper local in the globalized world and a global-consumer on a small island in the Caribbean.

Not an art institution in the Caribbean, but say Eurocentric art institutions are destroying our freedom of perception. Museums are recreating generations according to their beloved collections. They are using the term “education” only when done by the dominant rich white class upon the dependent. Inside; ideas become the product and vice versa. “Why do we always come here?” asks the old man. “I guess we’ll never know”, replies his friend. And adds: “It’s like a kind of torture to have to watch the show.”

So how is it possible to make art, or furthermore ‚brand new’ art in a world crying for peace, freedom and equality? The goal could or should be to make reasonable art: art which enables public discussions and new ideas on the site itself; which generates an idea of a wider problem: the critique of life; which permits broader solutions to different questions by not merely answering, but posing questions and raising awareness; which helps us see small and think big – necessary; a need.

Quite frankly speaking, I am looking for fresh insights; insights of unpredictable changes, transgression of boundaries, hence, creative ways of communicating ‘between the space of experience and the horizon of expectation.’ (Paul Ricoeur); to find a way to contemplate and to immense in deep thought, then to interiorize the reality, to reflex upon and have the balls to take the act. As Johnny Cash coming on the stage in Folsom Prison.

As I am finishing this text, there is only one question in my mind: What does a flower got to do with all this crap?!?
