I usually present installations that draw from disparate items that were produced independently and stand on their own, but nevertheless represent consecutive stages of a long process that binds them together in a common theme. Employing a multitude of media (sculpture, drawing, video, photography, sketching, written text and sound), I transfer and transpose symbols from one world to another, while setting up boundaries and contexts, seeking loopholes which nevertheless allow working with and through such points of breakthrough. At the end of the process I function in a space and create activities that connect the various items to this broader vacuum and to each other. My creations weave together themes that are bound up with my personal life, and with the cultural-political background from which I stem – namely, my Jewish tradition and Israeli environment, interspersed with the influences of global pop culture.
